Growing in Maturity According to The Urantia Book
Maturity—both spiritual and moral—is a process of increasing wisdom, self-mastery, and alignment with divine values. The Urantia Book emphasizes that maturity is not just about age or experience but about progress in truth, goodness, and love.

1. Emotional Maturity: Mastering Reactions
Recognize emotions but do not let them control actions.
Develop patience, tolerance, and self-control.
Handle disappointments with grace and resilience.

2. Intellectual Maturity: Seeking Wisdom
Be open to new truth and deeper understanding.
Learn from mistakes and experiences.
Use reason and discernment to make wise decisions.

3. Moral Maturity: Choosing the Higher Path
Move from self-centered desires to a service-oriented life.
Act out of conscience and responsibility rather than impulse.
Seek fairness, honesty, and integrity in all actions.

4. Spiritual Maturity: Aligning with God's Will
Develop faith in divine guidance (the Thought Adjuster).
Seek truth, beauty, and goodness in daily life.
Prioritize love, compassion, and forgiveness over selfish concerns.

5. Social Maturity: Growing in Relationships
Respect differences and seek unity in diversity.
Learn to cooperate rather than dominate.
Engage in selfless service to uplift others.

6. Cosmic Maturity: Understanding Universal Brotherhood
See yourself as a citizen of the universe, responsible for higher ideals.
Accept suffering and challenges as lessons for growth.
Work towards a life of purpose, meaning, and divine partnership.

Maturity is not instant; it is a lifelong process of growth, requiring experience, faith, and conscious effort. By embracing divine truth and love, one gradually transcends immaturity and aligns with higher spiritual realities.
